Ada M. Frey, 89, of Orwigsburg, passed away Feb. 27 at Seton Manor.
Ada was born in Landingville, Dec. 9, 1927, a daughter of the late Luther and Stella Long Heim.
Ada was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School and was employed as a teller at the former Schuylkill Haven Trust for 43 years. For many years, Ada served as the South Manheim Township Tax Collector.
She was a member of Faith United Church of Christ, Landingville, where she also served as treasurer.
Ada was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Frey, to whom she was married for 40 years; a son, Randy Frey; a brother, Ernest Heim.
She is survived by a son, William Frey, husband of Thea, East Greenville; three grandsons, Nathan, David and Christian Frey.
A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven, with the Rev. James Fidler officiating. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home. The family requests donations to Faith United Church of Christ Memorial Fund, 8 Church St., Landingville, PA 17972. Interment will be at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
