Agnes M. Edling, 85, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Saturday at Rosewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in New Philadelphia, on Dec. 1, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Sadie Edwards Brobst. She was the widow of Paul C. Edling, who passed away May 14, 1978.
She was a graduate of Blythe Township High School, Class of 1950, and had worked at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg. Agnes was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by sisters, Mildred Crochunis, Eleanor Hrichak, Margaret Alansky, Kathleen Veracco; brother, William Brobst. Agnes was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by a son, Paul W. Edling, Schuylkill Haven; granddaughters, Georgia and Veronica Edling; nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven. Interment will be held at Jerusalem Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven, at the family's convenience.
