Albert C. Watkins

Albert C. Watkins, 83, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Saturday, August 5th, at St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethlehem.

Born in Wilkinsburg, PA on June 25, 1940, he was a son of the late Hazel Wilt.

He was the loving husband of Dawn B. (Guldin) Watkins.

Al was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Schuylkill Haven.

He proudly served in the U.S. Marines Corps.

Al worked as a boilermaker for the Local 13 union.

He was a longtime Mason, belonging to Schuylkill Lodge #138, Northern Masonic Jurisdiction USA 32 degree, Reading Consistory, & Reading Lodge of Perfection. Al was a member of Rajah Shriners, and Schuylkill Shriners Club for more than 50 years. He was a member of the Pine Grove VFW, Rainbow Hose Co. No. 1, Schuylkill Haven, Roedersville Game & Fish, and Beckville Fish & Game.

In addition to his wife, Al is also survived by a son, Michael W. Watkins, husband of  Tammy, of Auburn; two granddaughters: Breanna Watkins, of Auburn, & Emylee Herb, wife of Jade, of Texas, & two sisters: Jacqueline Montgomery, of Pittsburgh; & Donna Mediate, of Pittsburgh.

He is preceded in death by an infant son, Dean Alan Watkins.

Services & interment will be privately held.
