Allen E. Krammes

Allen E. Krammes, 95, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Sunday, Oct. 2, at Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital, near Orwigsburg.

Born May 10, 1927, in Rock, he was a son of the late Bessie (Krause) and Arthur Krammes.

Allen was the widower of Jeanette (Clauser) Krammes.

He was employed as a grinder at Quaker Alloy.

Allen was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Auburn, the Rock Lodge Hunting Club and Summit Station Fire Company. He was an avid Phillies and 76ers fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports.

In addition to his parents and wife, Allen was preceded in death by his brothers, Arthur Jr., Floyd, Robert, Clarence and Edward; and sisters, Eva Kramer, Dorothea Kutz and Minerva Ritter.

Allen is survived by a daughter, Lorna, wife of Joseph Palerino, of Schuylkill Haven; a son, Ken, husband of Donna Krammes, of Pine Grove; grandchildren, Jeffrey, husband of Kelly Palerino, Mark, husband of Stephanie Palerino, and Ryan, husband of Jennifer Krammes; great-grandchildren, Zachary, husband of Lexi, Sarah, Callie, Connor, Milo and Maple; and great-great grandchild, Luke. He is also survived by two brothers, Bill Krammes, of Harrisburg, and Thomas Krammes, of Pottsville.

A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Summer Hill, Auburn, with Pastor Kenneth McDowell officiating. A viewing will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow the service in Summer Hill Cemetery, Auburn.
