Ana Simon, 62, of Cass Township, passed away Thursday at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street.
Born in Lower Burrell, April 13, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Winifred and Charles Simon.
Ana was a graduate of high school and then attended Delaware Valley College where she received her bachelor's degree in biology. After college, Ana moved to Massachusetts where she worked as a nurses aide and then became the book keeper at KK Home Mart.
Ana is survived by her companion of 22 years, Elwood Blake; a brother, Charles Simon, husband of Robyn, Altoona; a sister, Maud Simon, California; a niece, Holly Hart, California.
Services and interment will be held privately. At the family's request, memorial donations in Ana's name may be made to the Ruth Steinert SPCA P.O. Box 332 Schuylkill Haven PA 17972. Ana had a great love of plants and animals. She rescued many.
