Anne E. Reiley
Anne E. (Brennan) Reiley, 90, of Pottsville, passed away Monday, July 6th, at Schuylkill Medical Center - South Jackson Street, Pottsville.
Anne was born in Pottsville, on July 3, 1925, a daughter of the late Emily (McGovern) and James V. Brennan.
She was the widow of John W. Reiley, who passed away October 14, 2000.
She was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville.
Anne was a graduate of Pottsville Catholic High School and Pottsville Hospital School of Nursing. She also received her bachelor’s degree from Hunter College, New York and was employed as a nurse at Pottsville School District and the former Good Samaritan and Pottsville Hospital, Pottsville. Anne was in the US Army Nurse Corp. and held the rank of a First Lieutenant.
In addition to her husband, Anne is preceded in death by a daughter Susan E. Reiley, brother James Brennan and sister Dolores Reiley.
Anne is survived by four daughters, Mary Kathryn Falcone, of Ambler, PA; Anne Brennan Reiley, of Chicago IL; Dolores Reiley-Hillas (Roger), of Gwynedd Valley, PA; Jane D. Reiley, of Penllyn PA;
Kate Hartman, partner of Susan, Columbia, MD; four sons John Reiley, of Orwigsburg PA; James K. Reiley (Robin), of Pottsville PA; Andrew C. Reiley (Marie), of Pottsville PA; Bernard C. Reiley (Suzanne), of Manheim, PA.
She is also survived by grandchildren Jason, Tim, Allison, Heather, Sean, Shannon, Adam, Rory and Liam; great grandchild Elijah.
A memorial Mass and interment will be held privately.
