Arthur E. Baver, 76, of Orwigsburg, passed away Monday at his residence.
Born in Hamburg, Oct. 18, 1938, he was a son of the late John and Ethel Ashmead Baver.
He was the husband of Sandra A. Reed Baver.
Art was a graduate of Hamburg High School, Class of 1956, and served in the Army.
He was formerly employed by NGK, Laureldale, and had served as past vice president of the United Steelworkers Union.
Art was a member of the Deer Lake Fire Company and Landingville Fire Company.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and a sister.
In addition to his wife, Art is survived by a brother, Thomas Baver, Shoemakersville; nieces and nephews.
Private service and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. At the family's request, memorial donations may be sent to Hillside SPCA, P.O. Box 233, Pottsville, PA 17901.
