Arthur J. "Artie" Miller, Jr.

Arthur J. "Artie" Miller, Jr., 61, of Minersville, passed away Friday, June 11th, at Lehigh Valley Medical Center, Allentown.


Born in Pottsville, on April 25, 1960, a son of Arthur J. Miller., Sr., of Minersville and the late Shirley M. (Geist)


He was a member of First Church Reading Pentecostal Church, where he served faithfully. Artie was part of "The Miller Family" southern gospel group.


He was a graduate of Minersville High School, class of 1978 and then attended McCann School of Business. He was last employed by Precision Health care as a home health aide and previously worked at Quaker Maid Kitchens.


In addition to his father, Artie is survived by his daughter Shannon Kriner wife of Andrew, Schuylkill Haven; grand dog Apollo; stepsons Gene Coolbaugh husband of Shauna, Mark Coolbaugh husband of Beth and Shawn Kondash husband of Anette; grandchildren Joshua, Jesse, Gina, Jacob, Lisa and James Coolbaugh; siblings Craig Miller husband of Joy, Clover, SC, Duane Miller husband of Cindy, Treverton, Brenda Somers wife of George, Phoenix Park, Denise Adams, Schuylkill Haven and Kevin Miller husband of Teresa, Minersvile; companion Kathleen (Quinney) Miller, New Philadelphia; nieces and nephews Angela Garland, Tonya Butler, Bradley Miller and Duane Miller, Jr.


A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, June 18th at New Life Ministries in Schuylkill Haven, with Pastor Stacy Magee officiating.


A viewing for family and friends will be held 6 PM to 8 PM on Thursday, June 17th and Friday morning from 9:30 am until the time of the service at the Church. Both viewings will be held at the Church.


Interment will be held at Cressona Cemetery, Cressona.


Memorial donations may be made payable to the funeral home to help defray the costs of theservices.
