Betty J. Ebling Diefenderfer, 89, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Tuesday at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.
Born in Hellertown, Oct. 1, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Wilmer and Lottie Sloyer Dimmig.
She was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School, Class of 1944, and Ford Business School.
Betty worked for local businesses as a bookkeeper.
She was a member of Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schuylkill Haven.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James W. Ebling Sr., and her second husband, LeRoy "Gus" Diefenderfer.
Betty is survived by a daughter, Ann Vebrosky and her husband, Joseph, Frackville; grandchildren, Kyra Marks, Chalfonte, and Jenna Sperling, Lansdale; great-grandchildren, Caleigh Sperling, Jaydn Sperling and Wyatt Marks; a son, James W. Ebling Jr. and his wife, Brenda, Orwigsburg; grandchildren, Julie Ebling, New York City, and Matthew Ebling, Santa Barbara, Calif.; a stepson, Lee Diefenderfer, and stepdaughter, Hope Clarke, both of Orwigsburg; step-grandchildren, Samantha and Joshua Clarke.
Services and interment will be privately held at the family's convenience. At the family's request, contributions in Betty's memory may be sent to Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 252 Dock St., Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.
