Betty Viola Fenstermacher, 88, formerly of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Sunday at Orwigsburg Center, where she had been a resident.
Born in Schuylkill Haven, Aug. 11, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Mabel Nunemacher Reber.
She was the wife of James A. Fenstermacher, who passed away Feb. 22, 2013.
She attended Schuylkill Haven schools and was a homemaker.
Betty was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church and the Rainbow Hose Company Auxiliary, both in Schuylkill Haven.
In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was also preceded in death by a brother and sister.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Ann Starinsky, wife of the late Robert Starinsky, Schuylkill Haven, and Debra Kovich, partner of Marcia Hoke, Cressona; a son, James Lewis Fenstermacher, husband of Cynthia, Landingville. Betty is also survived by grandchildren, Richard, Richelle, James M., Jarrod and John; great-grandchildren, Richard Jr., Jeremy, Cassandra, Emily, Sasha, Aiden, Xavier, Emily, Lily, Kaylee and Darren.
A Celebration of Life funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven, with the Rev. David Rowe officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. The family requests donations in Betty's memory to Hospice Compassas, 1001 James Drive, Suite B34, Leesport, PA 19533.
