Bruce William Weider, 88, passed away on August 26, 2023.

Born on July 18, 1935, he was the son of the late Burton and Eva Marion (Shoffner). Bruce attended Orwigsburg High School and worked at the Walk-In Shoe Company (Schuylkill Haven, PA) for over 30 years. He also worked and retired from the Schuylkill Haven Area School District.

Bruce was known to many as "Chisel" and in his younger years was also regarded as the best golf caddy in Schuylkill County. Bruce was also inducted into the Pottsville Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 1992.

Bruce is reunited with his heavenly family including his wife of 50 years, Sylvia (Croneberger), his parents, his grandson Kevin (Crum), sister Jean (Bitzer), and brothers George, Donald, and Keith as well as a sister-in-law, MaryAnn (Croneberger) Felty.

His surviving loved ones, who will miss him deeply, include daughter Kathleen Crum (husband Gary) of Newville, PA; a son Jeffrey of Pottsville, PA; a grandson Gregory of Newville, PA; and a brother-in-law, Charles Croneberger (wife Susan) of Altoona, FL and a host of nieces and nephews.
