Carla Ann (Naffin) Zelinsky

Carla Ann Zelinsky, 73, of Pottsville, PA, passed away Friday, July 9th, at Lehigh Valley Medical Center, Allentown.

Born in Pottsville on July 8, 1948, she was a daughter of the late John G. & June (Miller) Naffin.

She was the wife of Joseph T. Zelinsky; to whom she was married to for 51 years & 11 months.

Carla was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School, Class of 1966.

She was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Schuylkill Haven.

Carla retired as a Bank Teller from Union Bank and Trust Company, Orwigsburg.

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by two sons: Brian Zelinsky, husband of Barb, of Cressona; and J. Keith Zelinsky, husband of Holli, of Auburn, as well as grandchildren: Alec J. Zelinsky, Karlie E. Zelinsky, Addison Marie Zelinsky, and Bailee Dee Zelinsky; sisters: Linda Collins, wife of Martin, of Schuylkill Haven, and Laurie Ward, wife of Darryl, of Pottsville; a brother, William G. Naffin, of Pine Grove, sisters-in-law: Evelyn Sheaffer, wife of Roger, of Virginia, Stephanie Moyer, wife of Eric, of Pottsville, and Mary Beth Salata, of Schuylkill Haven, and a brother-in-law, Nick Salata of Schuylkill Haven.

In addition to her parents, Carla is also preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Paula Salata.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service officiated by Rev. Mark Shellhamer will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, August 21st at the Walk-in Art Center in Schuylkill Haven. A visitation for friends and family will be held from 11 AM until the time of service at the Walk-in.  Interment will be held privately.

The family prefers remembrances in the form of contributions to Multiple Sclerous Society.
