Catherine M. (Hoosier) Daubenspeck

October 21, 1946 — November 20, 2021

Catherine M. Daubenspeck, 75, of Auburn, passed away Saturday, November 20th, at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.

Born in Philadelphia, on October 21, 1946, a daughter of the late Dolores (LeFever) and Raymond Hoosier. Sister of the late Raymond Hooser.

She was the wife of Earl H. Daubenspeck, whom she was lovingly married to for 52 years.

A dedicated school bus driver for more than 30 years with the city of Philadelphia and R&J Transportation, Cressona, Cathy was admiringly known as “Mrs D” to her students. She was a devout follower of her faith and lived her life to serve others. She would spend time delivering Meals on Wheels and answering phones for the Apprise Program, Pottsville. Cathy was also a very talented crafter who shared her creations with many.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her brother Daniel Hooser husband of Kitty; a son Charles A. Daubenspeck husband of Ellen, Furlong, PA; daughters Cathryn A. Veneziale wife of John, Doylestown, PA and Tara L. Moyer wife of Andrew, Minersville; and her pride and joy, her grandchildren Dominic, Ethan, Jonathan, Lucas, Aidan, Keegan and Addison.

A memorial service will be conducted at First United Methodist Church, Schuylkill Haven on Monday, December 20 at 11:30 a.m.  A visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.  Interment will be private.
