Catherine “Kitty” Rohrbach, 91, formerly of Orwigsburg, passed away Friday, April 8th, at Providence Place Retirement Community where she had been a resident, surrounded by her family.
Born in Philadelphia on May 30, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Franklin & Mary Heim.
She was the widow of George Warren Rohrbach, who preceded her in death November 16, 2012. The couple was married 70 years.
Kitty loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Kimmel’s Church, Orwigsburg.
She had worked as a homemaker. Kitty was a super cook and enjoyed cooking for others.
Kitty loved playing cards and Scrabble. She was well known for her generosity, was very friendly and was very much loved by many.
She is survived by two sons; George “Fella” Rohrbach, & Warren “Grumpy” Rohrbach & wife, Kay, and a daughter, Carol Luckenbill & husband, Larry, all of Schuylkill Haven, as well as seven grandchildren; George T. Rohrbach, Kelly Rohrbach, Paula Rohrbach Martin, Anne Rohrbach Rymond, Larry Luckenbill, Jr., Christine Luckenbill & Scott Luckenbill, great-grandchildren; Bobbie Joe, Sammy Joe, Michelle, George, Hunter, Brianna, Sarah, Joyce, Darron, Kiefer, Lyle, Lorissa, LeAnna, & Logan and great-great-grandchildren; Elijah, Zoey, Braxton, Jaxon, & Zoe.
A viewing will be held Monday at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, 26 Chestnut St., Cressona, with Reverend Preston Broadhurst officiating on Tuesday.
An additional time for viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home on Tuesday.
Interment will immediately follow the service at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
