Charles Arthur Gurski

Charles Arthur Gurski, age 87, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Monday, September 14th, at home.
Born in Forrestville, October 11, 1932, he was the son of the late Anthony and Helen Zulick-Gurski-Razzi.
Charles was a member of the local Boy Scouts and graduated from Schuylkill Haven High School, Class of 1950. Soon after high school, Charles enlisted in the United States Air Force, retiring after more than 28 years of service to his country, rising to the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. As an Air Force Information Manager, he was assigned to Bermuda, Tennessee, South Carolina, Texas, Japan, Illinois, Hawaii, & Washington D. C., receiving numerous awards and decorations for his dedicated service. He was a proud member of the Air Force Sergeant's Association and an active member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church of Schuylkill Haven where he learned and practiced his love of all things God.
Charles "Hoss" was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman who loved to hunt, fish, garden, play softball, and coach Little League baseball. He was also the #1 fan of his beloved St. Louis Cardinals. He thoroughly enjoyed sharing these life long loves with everyone he came in contact with.
In addition to his parents preceding him in death are his beloved wife of 61 years, Joyce; sister Gladys Gehrig, grand-niece, Alicia Gurski, and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, classmates, and friends.
He is survived by one brother, Anthony Gurski & his wife, Jeanne; three sons, Rodney & wife, Lillie, Randy & wife, Doris, and Richard Gurski; one daughter, Robin Heeley & husband, John; four granddaughters, Melissa Richards & husband, Trevor, Melanie Dearlove & husband, Justin, Kristen Jolivette & husband, Jason, and Lauren Heeley; two grandsons, Matthew Gurski & Nicholas Heeley; five great-granddaughters, Abigail, Madeleine, & Olivia Richards, and Sophie, & Olivia Jolivette, three great-grandsons, Gabriel Jolivette, and Owen & Levi Dearlove, numerous nieces & nephews, and cousins.
A Funeral Service will be held at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven, on Thursday, September 17th at 10:30 a.m. A viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial with military honors will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Fort Indiantown Gap, Annville.
