Claire M. (Houtz) Guitas

Claire M. Guitas, 86, of Cressona, passed away Thursday, August 25th, at home.
Born in Mount Carbon on April 30, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Henry & Elsie (Starr) Houtz.
She was the widow of George G. Guitas, Jr.
Claire was a homemaker.
She was of the Catholic faith.
Claire loved caring for her flowers; as she was an avid gardener.
Claire is survived by two daughters, Barbara Guitas and Joan Seiler, both of Cressona; three sons, Michael, at home; Kevin, husband of Elena, of Pine Grove; Kris, husband of Tiffany, of Bethel. Claire is also survived by a sister, Hazel Krammes, 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grand children, one step-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Claire is preceded in death by a son George III, her brothers, William, Raymond, Harvey, Leroy, and Clyde, her sisters, Louise, Dorothy, and Beatrice.
Services are private at the convenience of the family.
