Clayton E. Peiffer, 94, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Monday at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street.
Born in Wayne Township, June 3, 1921, he was a son of the late George Sr. and Mable Keiner Werdt Peiffer.
Clayton was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Summer Hill.
He was formerly employed by Dana Corp., Reading.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Krause Peiffer, and second wife, Irene Zimmerman; a stepdaughter, Ruth Zimmerman.
He is survived by his companion of 41 years, Anna I. Heffner; a stepdaughter, Betty Seiders; a son, Larry Peiffer; a stepdaughter, Rachel Beibelheimer; four grandchildren, Sherry, Laura, Timothy and Samuel; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Harry; a sister, Irma.
A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven, with the Rev. Mark Dewald officiating. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be take place in Summer Hill Cemetery. At the family's request, memorial donations may be sent to St. Paul's United Church of Christ Living Memorial Fund, 1235 Summer Hill Road, Auburn, PA 17922.
