Dale L. Herb, 75, of Pine Grove, passed away Monday at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street.
Born Nov. 11, 1940, in Hegins, he was a son of the late Daniel and Marie Schwartz Herb.
He was the loving husband of Dorothy L. Tobin Herb.
Dale was of the Protestant faith and had worked as a coal miner by trade.
He was a member of a Little League team that played in Williamsport. Dale also belonged to the NRA and Roedersville Gun Club.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He especially enjoyed spending time in Maine with his friends and family.
In addition to his parents, Dale was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kelly Herb; sister, Betty Maurer; and great-granddaughter, Mayah E. Zerbe.
In addition to his wife, Dale is also survived by three sons, Emory Herb and wife, Annegret, Richard Herb, both of Pine Grove, and James Herb and wife, Kathryn, Port Carbon; two stepsons, Earl Kreiser and wife, Cheryl, and Brian Kreiser and wife, Kasey, all of Pine Grove; two sisters, Sylvia Daub, Boyertown, and Faye Erlick, California; and a brother, William Herb, Potts-town; grandchildren, Josh Herb, North Dakota, Jessica Gill, Tremont, Katelyn, E.J., Emma and Alexis Herb, Shannon Zerbe, Rachel Snyder and Michael Kreiser, all of Pine Grove, Daniel and Justin Herb, Port Carbon; great-grandchildren, Blake Herb, Kelly and Isabella Gill, Dominic Zerbe, Keegan Kreiser, Kelsey Hindman, and Wyatt and Mason Snyder; his beloved dog, Dixie.
