David Paul Rowan

David Paul Rowan, 75, of Auburn, passed away Thursday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

Born in Tamaqua, June 30, 1942, he was a son of the late Martin J. and Helen Sassaman Rowan.

He worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for 28 years. He retired from the Department of Labor & Industry, having last worked on the Help Line in the Bureau of Workers' Compensation.

He was a lifetime member of the Tamaqua Elks, Tamachords Barbershop Singers of Tamaqua.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald "Rip" Rowan.

David is survived by his nephews, William Rowan, husband of Charlotte, Cressona, and Martin Rowan, husband of Cheryl, Orefield.

Services are private at the convenience of family.
