Dawn M. Smith, 79, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Tuesday, November 3rd, at her residence.
Born in Pottsville on January 11, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Howard & Margaret (Kramer) Stoudt.
She was the widow of Paul J. “Sonny” Smith, who preceded her in death on June 9, 2010.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by two brothers: William & Dale Stoudt.
Dawn attended Pottsville High School and was a member of the Auburn VFW.
She enjoyed quilting and was an excellent baker. She made many beautiful wedding cakes throughout the years.
The one thing she loved more than quilting and baking was her wonderful family.
Dawn is survived by four children; Paul E. Smith & wife Darlene, Schuylkill Haven, David A. Smith Schuylkill Haven, Darlene Dougherty & boyfriend, James Clevenger, Greencastle and Stephen F. Smith, Sr., Schuylkill Haven.
Dawn is also survived by grandchildren: Jennifer Fletcha, Paul E. Smith, Jr., Joseph Smith, Crystal Dasch, Amanda Moyer, Megan Smith, Heath Dougherty, & Stephen Smith, Jr., eight great-grandchildren, a sister, Faye Christman, Shartlesville, and a brother, Robert Stoudt & wife, Barbara, Halifax.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc., 25 E. Main St., Schuylkill Haven, at 11 a.m.
A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
Interment will follow the service at St. John’s New Cemetery, Auburn.
