Donna J. (Heckard) Kratz

Donna J. Kratz, 72, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Friday, April 12th, at St. Joseph's Medical Center, Reading.

Born in Frackville on July 18, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Follmer & Margaret (Smarsky) Heckard.

Following high school graduation, she earned her bachelor's degree in German from Susquehanna University.

She was employed for more than 20 years as a German teacher at North Schuylkill High School.

Donna was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ Summer Hill, Auburn.

She was an animal lover.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Irvin Peiffer, second husband, Rev. Daniel G. Kratz, sister, Shirley Knight, and brother, James Heckard.

Donna is survived by two brothers, Keith A., husband of Deborah Heckard, & Glenn, husband of Mary Heckard, three step-children: Rebecca, wife of Neil Hoch, Lena Swanson, & Jefferson Kratz, eight step-grandchildren, 8 step-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
