Dorie H. Reber, Jr., 82, of Wayne Township, passed away Sunday, November 15th, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Wilkes Barre.
Born in Wayne Township on August 18, 1933, he was a son of the late Dorie H. Reber, Sr. & Dora (Berkheiser) Reber.
He was the husband of Shirley (Mortimer) Reber, whom he married on June 11, 1955.
Dorie was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ Summer Hill, Auburn.
He was a graduate of Cressona High School, Class of 1952.
Dorie was last employed by Wayne Township in maintenance and had previously been employed by the former Cressona Aluminum, and Dana Corp., Reading.
In addition to his loving wife, Dorie is also survived by a son,Larry Reber & wife, Sally, Schuylkill Haven, two grandsons: Andy Reber & wife, Melissa and Luke Reber, both of Schuylkill Haven, and a great-grandson, Blake Reber.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a son, Brian Reber, brother, Hugh Reber, and sisters: Pearl Schneck, Jean Shick, Gloria Reichert, & Shirley Cook.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Summer Hill Auburn, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 19th, with Rev. Mark Dewald officiating.
A viewing will be held at the church on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
Interment will follow the funeral service at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
