Doris I. Duda, 76, of Pine Grove, passed away Sunday at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey.
Doris was born in Jersey City, N.J., Nov. 2, 1939, a daughter of the late Elmer and Inez Clave Dibble. Doris was the widow of Ronald Duda, who passed away in 2004.
Doris was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove, and the Golden Girls.
She was a graduate of Lyndhurst High School, New Jersey, and then attended Jersey City State College, where she received her teaching degree.
She was employed as a second grade teacher at Memorial School, Montvale, N.J., for 37 years.
Doris is survived by a daughter, Donna McGinley, Fairfax, Va.; significant other, Harvey J. Klamt; grandchildren, Kerie McGrath and Tara Ledford; great-granddaughter, Emma McGrath; stepchildren, Dorothy Dissler, Massachusetts, and James Duda, Greece; a sister, Jean Davis, Stroudsburg.
A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona, with pastor Richard Schoenleber officiating. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. The family request donations to American Cancer Society , 101 Frack St., Frackville, PA 17931-1734.
