Dwayne Reading, 68, of Wayne Township, passed away Monday at Lebanon Veteran's Hospital, Lebanon.
Born in Pottsville, May 27, 1947, he was a son of Clara B. Hofman Reading, Elizabethtown, and the late Charles I. Reading.
He was the husband of Linda J. Marbarger Reading, to whom he would have been married 44 years on May 22.
He was a graduate of Blue Mountain High School Class of 1965 and Belsaw Institute, Chicago, Ill., concentrating in locksmithing.
Dwayne served in the Army. He was formerly employed by Gilbert & Associates, Reading, as a draftsman for 10 years, and later was self-employed owner of Dwayne's Locksmith Shop.
He was a member of St. John's Reformed Church, Friedensburg, and Schuylkill C.B. Radio Club.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles C. Reading; and daughter, Sally Anne Reading.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two daughters, Sarah J. Waraksa and husband, Jeremy, York, and Susan L. Bleiler and fiance, Matthew Corsi, Bethlehem; a grandson, Brayden B. Bleiler; a sister, Catherine Miller and husband, Bill, Cressona; a brother, Dwight Reading and wife, Kay, Orwigsburg; nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John's Reformed Church, Friedensburg, with the Rev. Gary Luckenbill and the Rev. Brian Reading co-officiating. A viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the church. Interment will follow in St. John's Reformed Church Cemetery, Friedensburg. At the family's request, memorial donations in Dwayne's memory may be sent to Hospice Unit of the Lebanon Veterans Hospital, 1700 S. Lincoln Ave., Lebanon, PA 17042.
