Edward L. Renninger

September 14, 1924 — September 5, 2015

Edward L. Renninger, 90, of Auburn, passed away Saturday, September 5th, at Orwigsburg Center, Orwigsburg.

Born in Schuylkill Haven, September 14, 1924, he was a son of the late Adam S. & Marie (Sterner) Renninger.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sibings: Anna Mae Donati, Hubert “Bo” Renninger, Regina Schwenk, Phylis Schwenk, Kenneth Renninger, & Patricia Bachman.

He attended Auburn High School and proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a Coxswain in WW II.

Ed was of the Roman Catholic faith and was formerly employed by Crystal River Quarry, Crystal River, FL, as superintendent for 40 years.

He belonged to the Auburn VFW Post #3975 and the Auburn American Legion Post #0895 as a life member, as well as Loyal Order of Moose, Crystal River, FL, AMVETS Post #0114 and the Summit Station Fire Co. No. 1.

Ed is survived by a son, Dale Renninger & wife, Betty, Auburn, a daughter, Connie Lou (Morton) Geiger & husband, William, Palm Harbor, FL, a sister, Frances Smith, and a brother, Richard F. Renninger, both of Auburn.

He is also survived by grandchildren: Sandra Walters, Schuylkill Haven, Laura Knapps, Jacksonville, FL, Reed Bogosh, Mohrsville, Lisa Renninger, Auburn, and Zachary, Adam & Rachel Geiger, all of Palm Harbor, FL, and great-grandchildren: Michael Lee, and Hailey & Theo Bogosh.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven, at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 11th,  with Pastor Paul Schoffstall officiating.

A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, will be privately held at the family’s convenience.
