Elaine Ruth (Harker) Hess

Elaine R. Hess, 88, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Sunday, July 3rd, at Providence Place Retirement Community, Pine Grove.
Born in St. Benedict on December 8, 1933, she was the daughter of the late and Ira Phillip Harker & Matilda Gertrude McKinney Harker.
She was the widow of Sanford H. Hess.
Elaine graduated from Conemaugh Township High School, Somerset County, PA, and worked at Monarch Linen Supply.
She was a member of Faith Fellowship Church in Cleona.
Elaine issurvived by her step children; Stanley O. Hess (Carol), Daniel O. Hess , David J. Hess (Sheila), Glenn O. Hess (Robin), Elma Burkholder (Mike), Sara Ann Zeager (John), and Susan Chupp (Carl). Elaine is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister, Beverly Furness, & brother, Arnold Joseph Harker.
In addition to her parents and husband, Elaine is also preceded in death by her siblings; Leonard Harker, Malitha M. Davies, Dolores "Betty" Applegate, Lillian Louise Spiker, and Audrey Dean.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be conducted Friday, July 8th at 10:30 AM at Faith Fellowship Church, 721 E. Penn Ave., Cleona, PA.A viewing will be held at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of service.Interment will follow at Myerstown Mennonite Cemetery.
