Eleanor M. Pope, 90, of Elizabethtown, passed away Thursday at the Masonic Home, Elizabethtown.
Born in Pottsville, July 10, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Phillip and Loretta Jones Staller.
She was the wife of Robert M. Pope.
Eleanor was a member of First United Methodist Church, Pottsville.
She was a graduate of the Pottsville High School, Class of 1942.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons, the Rev. Robert A. Pope, husband of Rola, Myerstown, and David R. Pope, Gilbertsville; a daughter, Kathleen L. Pope, North Wales; grandchildren, Eric R. (Nancy) Pope, Bryan M. (Lindsay) Pope and Margaret L. Pope; and two great-grandchildren, Carly and Alexander Pope.
A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, Pottsville, with the Rev. Bradley Schutt and the Rev. David Lewis officiating. A viewing for family and friends will be held from noon until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. At the family's request, memorial donations may be sent to First United Methodist Church, 330 W. Market St., Pottsville, PA 17901.
