Eleanor Smith Snyder Russell, 95, a resident of Rosewood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Schuylkill Haven, North Manheim Township, passed away Monday at Rosewood.
Born in Pottsville, July 27, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Phillip B. and Elsie Faller Smith.
She was widowed twice, the wife of the late Gilbert Snyder and the late George Russell.
Eleanor attended Pottsville schools and was formerly employed by Reider Shoe Factory as a sprayer.
In addition to her first and second husbands, she was preceded in death by a sister, Elsie Neiswender; a brother, Charles Smith; a nephew, Franklin Neiswender.
She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth M., widow of Edward G. "Spickets" Fekette, Schuylkill Haven, and Sandra Zimmerman and husband, Glen, Minersville; a sister, Edith Houtz, Schuylkill Haven; a grandson, Allan Nester, Schuylkill Haven; a granddaughter, Angela Bertsavage and husband, Michael, Maryland; two great-grandchildren, Coby Schweikert and Ian Shaak; nieces and nephews.
A private service and interment will be held at the family's convenience.
