Elizabeth J. Luckenbill
Elizabeth J. Luckenbill, 90, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Saturday, May 30th, at Rest Haven.
Elizabeth was born in Schuylkill Haven, on February 26, 1925, a daughter of the late Mary (Webber) and John Dohner.
She was the widow of William J. “Bud” Luckenbill, Sr., who passed away in 2002.
She was formerly employed by Dohner’s Shoe Store
Elizabeth was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School, class of 1943. She was a member of the Orwigsburg Eastern Star, Schuylkill Haven Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the Schuylkill Haven Senior Citizens and St. John's United Church of Christ SchuylkillHaven.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by daughters Judy Luckenbill and Jean Schaeffer, a brother Robert Dohner and a great grandson TylerCoover.
Elizabeth is survived by daughters Linda Coover wife of Dave, Shippensburg and Lou Ann Hall wife of Tommie, Bradford, VT; a son William J. Luckenbill, Jr. husband of Tina, Schuylkill Haven; as well as grandchildren ToddSchaeffer, Jeff Coover, Judy Kocher, Mike Coover, Jensen Luckenbill, and Jacob Luckenbill; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great great granddaughters; a niece Joann Koppenhaver wife of Robert; and a nephew John Dohner husband of Hope.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at St. John's United Church of Christ, Schuylkill Haven, on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 10:30 am, with Rev. JanetLewis officiating.
A viewing for family and friends will be held on Wednesday evening 6-8 pm at Geschwindt StabingasFuneral Home, Inc. 25 East Main Street SchuylkillHaven and Thursday morning from 9:30 am until the time of the service at the church.
At the family's request, memorial donations may be sent to St. John's United Church of Christ Memorial Fund 121 East Main Street Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.
Interment will be at Union Cemetery Schuylkill Haven, PA.
