Evelyn Arlene Eifert, 93, formerly of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Tuesday, September 27th, at Masonic Village at Elizabethtown, where she had been a resident.
Born in Pottsville on July 14, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Christopher L. & Catherine F. (Yost) Cartwright.
She was the widow of Walter Albert Eifert who passed away in 1976. In addition to her husband, she is also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Evelyn was a member of Primrose Bible Church, Minersville, and Young at Heart.
She worked for Eifert Clothing Exchanges.
Evelyn is survived by four daughters; Carol E. Gross & husband, Bob, Hamburg, Karen A. Kreider & husband, Bob, Palmyra, Brenda J. Coffin & husband, Chip, Lititz, & Ellen E. Ail & husband, Rob, Palmyra, as well as five sons; Edward H. Eifert & wife, Ann, of Elizabethtown, Kerry W. Eifert & wife, Dottie, Annville, Walter H. Eifert & wife, Kim, Martinsburg, WV, Christopher W. Eifert & wife, Christine, Elizabethtown, & Lamar C. Eifert & wife, Ann-Dee, Trappe. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 2 pm at Grace Evangelical Free Church, 101 Graeff St, Cressona, with Reverend Keith McCarthy officiaiting.
A viewing for family and friends will be held prior from 1 until the time of the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Primrose Bible Church, 91 High Road, Pottsville PA 17901.
Interment will immediately follow the service at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
