Florence Katherine Borden, 91, of Lake Wynonah, passed away Thursday, May 16, at Orwigsburg Center, Orwigsburg.
Born Feb. 17, 1933, in Gilberton, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Katherine (Caddy) Soult.
She was the widow of Charles A. Borden Jr.
In addition to her parents and husband, Florence was also preceded in death by her siblings Mary, Harold, Thomas and James Caddy.
She was a graduate of Gilberton High School and McCann School of Business.
Florence had been employed by Teamsters Local No. 169 and Tyler School of Art as a receptionist.
She was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 38 Ladies Auxiliary, Schuylkill Haven. Florence also loved to tend to her garden.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandra, wife of James Lempa, of Lake Wynonah, and Katherine Marsh, of Bryn Mawr, and was "Mam Mam" to her beloved grandchildren, Nicole Mundell, Christopher Mundell, husband of Melissa, and Codie Marsh, and great-grandchildren, Carter and Colton Mundell.
A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at noon Friday, May 24, at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven. A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
