Frances F. Cuccia, 89, passed away Monday at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg, where she had been a resident.
Born in Pottsville, April 13, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Maurice M. and Mary E. Powers O'Brien.
She was the widow of Andrew J. Cuccia, who passed away March 27, 1992.
Frances was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville, and the American Hose Auxiliary.
She was a talented seamstress and made clothing for friends and family. She also enjoyed crocheting and was an avid bowler.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sons, Frank D. Cuccia, May 27, 1962, and Dominic "Nicky" Cuccia, March 24, 1976; sisters, Mary Bowers and Bernice Fitzgerald; and brothers, Michael, Neil and Robert O'Brien.
Frances is survived by a daughter, Andrea, wife of Steve Gall, Orwigsburg; sisters, Jean Dronick, Downingtown, and Patricia Kelly, Pottsville; and brothers, Maurice O'Brien, Jacksonville Beach, Fla., and William O'Brien, Goshen, Ind.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. A viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church in the chapel downstairs until the time of Mass. Interment will follow Mass in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Pottsville.
