Francis P. Voydik

Francis P. "Buddy" Voydik, 79, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Friday at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in North Manheim Township, June 28, 1936, he was a son of the late Joseph and Ruth Shappell Voydik.

He was the loving husband of Dorothy A. Zimmerman Voydik, whom he married on April 30, 1955.

Francis attended Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall, Tremont.

He was formerly employed by Argo Mills and FesslerUSA as a pattern maker and cutter, and was a former member of the Argo Golf Club.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a son, Joseph L. Voydik; two brothers, Clement and Eugene Voydik; a sister, Joyce Ebert.

In addition to his wife, Francis is also survived by two daughters, Carol A. Voydik, Friedensburg, and Kathryn M. Voydik, Pottsville; a son, Andrew P. Voydik and his wife, Michelle Steiner, Richland; six grandchildren, Stacey, Corey, Nicole, Emory, Caleb and Bryan; ten great-grandchildren and one on the way; one great-great-grandchild; nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona. A viewing will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. At the family's request, memorial donations in Francis's memory may be sent to a charity of the donor's choice.
