Frederick Lee Schnerring, 61, of Antique Lane, Orwigsburg, died Saturday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-
Schuylkill E. Norwegian Street.
He was a son of Martena Greenawalt and the late Benjamin F. Schnerring.
A graduate of Blue Mountain High School, he enjoyed the outdoors and previously belonged to a
hunting club. He worked as a logger, construction worker and truck driver, last employed by Ernst
Trucking, Orwigsburg.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Debra Gamber Schnerring; a son, Jeremy,
Orwigsburg; a daughter, Holly, wife of Andrew Wolanin; two granddaughters, Olivia and Violet
Wolanin, who reside in Philadelphia; a sister, Deborah Schnerring Schwarz, wife of Anton Schwarz,
Charleston, S.C. He is sorely missed by Colt, an English mastiff who was his constant companion.
Rick was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 252 Dock St., Schuylkill Haven, where religious
services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. David Rowe officiating. Friends and relatives
may call from 6 p.m. until the time of the service at the church.
Interment will be held at a later date at Schuylkill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer that contributions be made to Jerusalem Lutheran Memorial Fund, 252 Dock St., Schuylkill Haven, or Hillside SPCA, P.O. Box 233, Pottsville PA 17901.
