Georgine Louise Schafer Motley, 84, of Mount Carbon, passed away Wednesday at the Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.
Born in Pottsville, Feb. 20, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Mary Schultz Schafer.
She was the loving wife of Edward Joseph Motley to whom she was married for 63 years.
Georgine was of the Catholic faith and a former member of St. Francis De Sales Church, Mount Carbon.
She was a graduate of Pottsville High School and was formerly employed by Pottsville Sanitation as a secretary.
She was a life member of the Mount Carbon Fire Company.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings and a granddaughter, Karen Marie Motley.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two daughters, Donna Lee Filer and husband, Kenneth, Avondale, and Denise Ann Zawada and companion, David Parsons, Pottsville; three sons, Ronald Edward Motley and wife, Karen Rae, Allentown, William Brian Motley and wife, Bernadette, Norwood, and Duane Edward Motley and wife, Josie, Bethlehem; grandchildren, Alex Filer, Karen Dipres, Matthew Loignon, Scott Motley, Thomas Motley, Liam Motley, Luke Motley, Rance and Sam Zawada, and Corona and Audrey Motley; great-grandchildren, Athan, Damian, Miranda and Savannah.
Services and interment will be privately held at the family's convenience. At the family's request, memorial donations in Georgine's name may be sent to Mount Carbon Fire Company, c/o Jerry Stroklitis, Mount Carbon, PA 17901.
