Geraldine M. Nunemacher, 86, of Pine Grove, passed away Wednesday at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street.
Born in Fleetwood, July 10, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Allen and Elsie Conrad Becker.
She was the widow of William S. Nunemacher, who passed away in 2002.
Geraldine was a graduate of Cressona High School and had worked as an executive secretary for Blue Mountain School District.
She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Friedensburg.
She was a past matron and 50-year member of the Cressona Eastern Star, and a charter member of the Friedensburg Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Ray Becker.
Geraldine is survived by two daughters, Susan Pichini and husband, Guido, Wyomissing, and Karen Rennick and husband, Robert, Saint Clair; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Bush and Amanda Overby; two great-grandchildren, Rylie Bush and Colin Bush; a sister, Jean Maffeo and husband, Ed, Cressona; nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, 25 E. Main St., Schuylkill Haven. A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Pastor Peggy Sue Pfeffer officiating. A viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Private interment will be held at the family's convenience at St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery. At the family's request, memorial donations may be sent to the Blue Mountain School District General Scholarship Fund in memory of Geraldine M. Nunemacher, 685 Red Dale Road, Orwigsburg, PA 17961.
