Grace C. Koenig, 91, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away peacefully with family by her side Wednesday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.
Grace was born in Panther Valley, Nov. 4, 1926, a daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Delong Neidlinger. She was the widow of Bernard Koenig.
She was of the Protestant faith and was a former member of Christ Church McKeansburg. Grace was previously employed as a textile factory worker, and was a warm, loving mother and friend.
In addition to her parents and husband, Grace was also preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Neidlinger; sisters, Ellen Lemich, Irene Bainbridge and Mae Super.
She is survived by four daughters, Jean Kutz and husband, Dennis, Schuylkill Haven, Joann Umbenhauer and husband, James, Florida, Ethel Koenig, widow of Bonnie Deangelo, Pottsville, and Karen McShaw, companion of James Kaschak, Hazleton; two sons, William Koenig, Florida, and Larry Koenig and wife, Mary Ann, McKeansburg; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Oleta Reppert, Laureldale, and Anna Boyer, Saint Clair; nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life funeral service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona. A viewing will be held from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be privately held at the family's convenience at Christ Church McKeansburg Cemetery.
