Harold Richard "Skip" Heffner, 50, of Port Charlotte, Fla., formerly of Summit Station, passed away Tuesday, at Fawcett Memorial Hospital, Port Charlotte, Fla., as the result of an automobile accident.
Born in Pottsville, March 7, 1965, he was a son of Thomas Heffner, Lady Lake, Fla., and the late Barbara Thompson Honicker.
Skip attended Blue Mountain schools and was employed as a construction worker.
In addition to his mother, he is also preceded in death by his step-father, William Honicker Sr.
In addition to his father, Skip is also survived by a son, Harold T. Heffner, Schuylkill Haven; sisters, Tammy Cobos and her husband, Val, Texas, and Michelle Hasenauer, Lake Wynonah; a brother, Ronald Heffner and his wife, Lora, Lake Wynonah; step-mother, Dolores Heffner, Lady Lake, Fla.; step-sisters, Jill McGovern and RuthAnn Austin, both of Florida; step-brothers, Tim McGovern, Dauphin, Brian McGovern, Schuylkill Haven, Rod McGovern, Florida, Mark Honicker, Texas, Keith Honicker, Pottsville, Scott Honicker, Schuylkill Haven, and Bill Honicker Jr., Cressona; nieces and nephews.
Local services will be privately held at the family's convenience with interment at Cressona Cemetery.
