Helen Mae Farley

Helen Mae Farley, 95, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Monday at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street.

Born in Schuylkill Haven, Dec. 8, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Elisha L. Knarr and Lewis A. Bolton.

She was the widow of Carl J. Farley, who passed away in 1993.

She was a member of Grace Evangelical Congregational Church.

Helen was a seamstress and was last employed by Ethel Maid Corp., Schuylkill Haven, and was a member of Schuylkill Haven Senior Citizens.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Dan, John, Henry, Ed and Emanuel; and sisters, Mable and Elsie. She was the last member of her immediate family.

Helen is survived by two daughters, Joyce Hill, wife of Claude, Friedensburg, and Joan Murray, wife of Keith, Shavertown; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven, with the Rev. Ted Rathman officiating. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
