Honora M. Stitzer, 92, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Sunday, November 19th, at Mifflin Center, Shillington.
Born in Detroit, Michigan on September 24, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Stanley & Mary (Ruszkowska) Skowronek.
She was the widow of James A. Stitzer who passed away in 2007.
Honora attended Reading High School.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Polish National Catholic Church, Middleport. Honora also belonged to the Polish Cultural Education Society, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Middleport, and the Berks County Historical Society.
Honora is survived by her loving son, Mark A. Stitzer, husband of Sandra of Wernersville; three grandchildren: Nicole Guziak & husband, Matthew, Megan Stitzer, & Mark Alan Stitzer, Jr., two great-grandchildren: Savannah, & Grayson, and a sister, Roseanne Przyjemski, of Kenhorst.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at on Tuesday, November 28th at First United Methodist Church, Schuylkill Haven, at 10:30 AM with Rev. Dr. Christopher Fisher officiating. A viewing will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of service.
Interment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
