Ida Alvesta Ryland, 98, of Sweet Arrow Lake Road, Pottsville, passed away Wednesday at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.
Born in Wayne Township, Feb. 27, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Mame Laubenstine Keller.
She was the widow of Glenn Ryland, who passed away in 1972.
Ida was a lifetime member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Friedensburg. She was also the oldest living member of the church.
She was formerly employed by H.L. Miller.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Paul Keller, Emmett Keller, Ada Laubenstine and Mark Keller.
Surviving are a daughter, Karen Mills, wife of William T., Pottsville; grandchildren, Suzan Greenawalt, wife of Kurt, Schuylkill Haven, and William Mills, husband of Megan, Schuylkill Haven; great-grandchildren, Jessica Greenawalt, Ben Greenawalt and William Mills, all of Schuylkill Haven.
A celebration of life funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona, with Pastor Peggy Sue Pfeffer officiating. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. At the family's request, memorial donations may be sent to St. John's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 86, Friedensburg, PA 17933. Interment will be in St. John's Union Cemetery.
