James N. Bainbridge, 71, of Schuylkill Haven, PA passed away Friday, September 23rd, surrounded by his family, at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Dauphin County.
James was born in Pottsville, PA on September 29, 1950, a son of the late Catherine (Heiser) and LeRoy Bainbridge. He was a 1969 graduate of Minersville Area High School.
He was the husband of Kathleen (Vitelli) Bainbridge for 49 years.
He served in the U.S. Army as a SGT, member of the 365th Engineer Battalion Combat Heavy (CBT HVD), was a Vietnam veteran and was awarded two Bronze Service Stars and the Purple Heart.
He last worked as a Building Inspector for both Residential and Commerical properties at Systems Design Engineers Leesport PA.
Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing, but he loved to golf. He also loved to tell jokes. Jim was a member of Schuylkill Haven American Legion and Landingville Fire Company also a former member of Wrong Hollow hunting club Tioga County.
Jim issurvived by a daughter, Jennifer, wife of Michael Stauffer, of Landingville. a son, James E., husband of Jennifer Bainbridge, of Orwigsburg;
He is also survived by 8 grandchildren Hayle Bainbridge, Ethan Bainbridge, Kyle Bainbridge, Jocelyn Stauffer, Cali Stauffer, Hope Stauffer, Libby Stauffer, and Luke Stauffer six brothers LeRoy husband of Marie Williamstown, Richard husband of Carol of Buckrun, David husband of Colleen of Seltzer, Donald husband of Sharon of Muir, Gary husband of Darlene of Pottsville and Jackie husband of Barbara of Forestville.also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Raymond and a sister Sharon Buery
Funeral Service will be held 10:30 AM on Thursday, September 29th at Geschwindt Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc in Schuylkill Haven,
A viewing will be held 6 - 8 pm on Wednesday, September 28th and 9:30till time of service on Thursday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc.in Schuylkill Haven.

Interment Monday 3rd of October at 2 pm in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with full Militay Honors. Procession will leave Geschwindt Stabingas Funeral Home at 1 pm.
