Jason Lester Augenstein, 43, of Minersville, passed away Thursday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill S. Jackson Street.
Born in Ohio, Oct. 29, 1973, he was a son of the late Elwood William Augenstein Sr. and Marlie Louise Stults Augenstein.
He graduated from Susquenita High School, Duncannon, and was currently employed as an extrusion operator at SAPA, where he was a member of the Steelworkers Union.
Jason is survived by his companion, Jessica A. Gingrich, Minersville; two sons, Jarred Augenstein, Millersburg, and Koen Augenstein, at home; stepchildren, Steven Gardner, stationed in Turkey, Jade Gingrich, Clinton Bair, Aloysius Burns and Sadie-Mae Burns, all at home; two sisters, Kim Horn, Wise, Va., and Heather Grubic, Hershey; two brothers, Kelly Augenstein, Florida, and Woody Augenstein, Duncannon.
Services and interment will be privately held at the family's convenience.
