Jean L. Whalen
Jean Whalen, 84, of Orwigsburg, passed away Monday, March 14th, at her residence.
Jean was born in Pottsville, on August 8, 1931, a daughter of the late Dorothy (Yeich) and Earl Drey.
She was the widow of Michael J. Whalen, who passed away in 2011.
She was a member of Faith United Church of Christ, Landingville and the Orwigsburg Senior Citizens.
She was formerly employed by local factories.
In addition to her husband she is preceded in death by a daughter Rickey Whalen and siblings.
Jean is survived by children Virginia Whalen, Gloria Gross, Jesse Whalen, Randy Whalen, Alan Whalen, Michale Whalen, Mark Whalen and Dan Whalen; 18 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sister Nancy Gehrig and Brother Earl Drey.
Services are private at the convenience of family.
