Jean Eileen Zemencik

Jean Eileen Zemencik, 70, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Saturday, May 11th, at her son's home in Finksburg, MD.

Born in Pottsville on May 9, 1954, she was a daughter of the late Robert & Helen (Warner) Runkle.

She was the widow of Monte Lee Zemencik, who passed away December 18, 2021. In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by her brother, Donald "Pete" Runkle, & sister, Carol Blankenhorn.

Jean was a 1972 graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School.

She was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church, Schuylkill Haven.

Jean served as a crossing guard for the Schuylkill Haven School District for 47 years. She had also worked in the Middle School & High School cafeterias, as well as the former Haven Pizza, Schuylkill Haven.

Jean is survived by her son, Jeffrey A. Zemencik, significant other of Heather Oskowis, of Finksburg, MD; two grandsons: Gavin Zemencik, Finksburg, MD, & Joshua Zemencik, Statesville, NC, brother, Robert, husband of  Mary Beth Runkle, of Texas, and several nieces & nephews.

Private interment will be held at a later date at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
