Joan G. (Gerber) Lenhart

Joan G. Lenhart, 86, of Auburn, passed away Saturday  at home  surrounded by her children, grandchildren and friends.
Born in Pottsville on June 14, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Ralph & Helen (Carter) Gerber.
She was the widow of Clifford Lenhart, who passed away December 22, 2015.
Joan was a 1953 Pottsville High School graduate.
She worked most of her life as an administrative professional for Richard B. Ryon Real Estate, and Pepsi Cola, Schuylkill Haven.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Pottsville; where she had also been employed as the church's secretary for more than 5 years. At church she was also active in Joy Circle, & United Methodist Women. Joan also belonged to Business and Professional Women group. In her free time, Joan enjoyed baking, knitting, bowling and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by three children: Diane Lenhart Krause, wife of Richard, of Warminister, PA; Julie Mikos, wife of Gerry, of Auburn; & Craig Lenhart, husband of Jill, of Auburn; grandchildren, Ryan Krause, Amanda Krause Doughty, Allison and Hayley Lenhart, & Joseph and Ethan Mikos; great-grandchildren, Carter and Charlotte Krause, Cameron and Averie Doughty, & Faye Mikos, as well as nieces, Linda and Lori.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by her brother: Lawrence Gerber; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 20th at First United Methodist Church, Pottsville, at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Wallace officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, 55 Church St., Hamburg, PA.
