Joan Z. Moyer, 79, of Wayne Township, passed away Monday, January 25th, at Rosewood Nursing Home, North Manheim Township.
Born in Wayne Township on May 2, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Lester T. & Evelyn Marie (Krammes) Fessler.
She was the widow of Marlin S. Moyer, who preceded her in death in 1989.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by a brother, Melvin G. Fessler.
Joan was a graduate of Cressona High School, Class of 1953 and was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Friedensburg.
She was employed by the former Schuylkill Products as a secretary and bookkeeper. She retired in 2002 from Columbia Casket Corp. as a bookkeeper.
Joan is survived by two sons; Roger Moyer & wife, Barbara, Schuylkill Haven, & Rodney Moyer & wife, Donna, Pine Grove, three granddaughters; Kimberly & Kelly Moyer, and Elena Moyer Miller, and a sister, Linda Fessler Leidy, East Petersburg. She is also survived by two step-grandsons; Ronald & Jason Heitz, two step-great-grandsons; Bryce & Noah Miller, and nieces & nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at the family’s convenience at St. Mark’s Brown’s Cemetery.
