John H. (Jr.) Hardinger

John H. “Poppa John” Hardinger, Jr of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Monday, May 2nd , at Orwigsburg Center, Orwigsburg.

John was born in Port Clinton, PA on November 5, 1936, son of the late Ida (Henry) and John H Hardinger, Sr.

He was the husband of Rose Marie A. (Gaffney ) Hardinger.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

He was employed by American Argo Corporation as a Supervisor and Becker Brothers Toyota.

He was a member of the Orwigsburg Lions Club, Landingville Community Fire Company, Port Clinton Fire Company and Port Clinton Fish and Game.

He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. In recent years his greatest joy was found in spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, David Hardinger, husband of Patti, Orwigsburg, Dane Hardinger and his fiancée Gloria Bambrick, Landingville and Holli Dreher, Schuylkill Haven, Grandchildren Stephanie Lehigh (wife of Kyle) Dane Hardinger Jr (husband of Catie ), Ryan Dreher, Kristen Carroll (wife of Jason), Megan Sprenger and Jessica Reier (wife of Michael), as well as Great-Grandchildren Devin Wommert, Sadie Lehigh, Kevin Lehigh, Maci Sprenger, Chase Sprenger, Hunter Hardinger, Hayden Hardinger, Brody Reier, Wyatt Reier and Jillian Carroll.

Services are private at the convenience of the family.
