John R. Lippert

John Robert Lippert, 79, of Wayne Twp., passed away Thursday, August 4th, at home.

Born in Norwood, New Jersey on March 17, 1943, a son of the late Marie E. (Mossman) and John H. Lippert.

He was the widower of Jane (LaMendola) Lippert, who passed away March 26, 2016; they were married for 49 years.

After graduating from Northern Valley Regional high school in Demarest NJ, he attended Rutgers University and received his Bachelor's Degree, and later a Master's Degree from Penn State University. John was a devoted professor who taught computer science at Penn State - Schuylkill Campus. John loved spending time with his family, gardening, antiquing, and working on his classic cars.

In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his granddaughter Helen Marie Miller and his sister Marie (Lippert) DelPizzo.  John is survived by his daughters Maria-Elaina Miller wife of Mark, Lancaster and Megan Delevan wife of Todd, Havertown and grandchildren John Wyatt, Garrett and Claire.
