John R. Neyer

John  R. Neyer, Sr, 82, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Saturday, December 17th, at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem, PA.

John  was born in Schuylkill Haven, PA on April 11, 1940, a son of the late Margaret (Hulet) and Albert C. Neyer, Sr.

He was the husband of Linda L. (Scheipe) Neyer  to he was married to for 58 years..

He was a lifetime member of Covenant United Methodist Church Schuylkill Haven. He was on the board of trustees, was very active in the music program at church and was a former member of the Schuylkill County Choral Society

He was employed as in Maintainence Dept and was a bus driver at Schuylkill Haven School District eafter retiribg he drove for R & J Transportation Cressona.

John served in the Army Reserve for six years.

John  is  survived by a daughter, Kathleen L., wife of  Ronald Bromwell, of Schuylkill Haven;  two sons John Neyer Jr., of Perkasie PA;  Gregory A. Neyer, of Towanda PA and a grandaughter Mycaella Bromwell

John was preceded in death by two brothers AlbertC. Jr, Earl R., and a sister Ruth Allan.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 10:30:00 on Tuesday, December 27th at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc.  in Schuylkill Haven, PA with William Parrish officiating.

Public Viewing will be held 9:30:00 to 10:30:00 on Tuesday, December 27th at Geschwindt Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc in Schuylkill Haven, PA.

The family prefers remembrances in the form of contributions to  Covenant United Methodist Church 215 Main Street Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.

Interment at Schuylkill Memorial Park Schuylkill Haven, PA.
